If I would have had my act together this year…
… I would have coordinated a clever barnyard Christmas card complete with a menagerie of animals, children, and Christmas sweaters.
(OK, probably not the sweaters, but you get the idea…)
But that didn’t happen. And it would be hard to send out a card to all 23,000+ of you anyway, so consider this post your official, virtual Christmas card from The Prairie Homestead family.
We hope your Christmas is filled with family, friends, and lots of good food.
We’ll be staying on the homestead this year, enjoying a quiet day with just the 32 of us. (That’s the grand tally of people, dogs, chickens, geese, horses, cows, and goats around here…)
We’ll be eating cinnamon rolls and opening gifts in the midst of barn chores and thinking about the gift of our Savior–when God became man to provide a way for all of humankind to reconcile themselves with Him.
“For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” Isaiah 9:6-7
Thanks for sticking around this year–I consider my readers to be a part of my family and I genuinely enjoy the interaction I have with each and every one of you. I can’t wait to see what the new year holds for all of us.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from the Prairie Homestead!
